 WHAT IS TOURISM INDUSTRY?

 

The travel and Tourism industry is perhaps one of the largest and fastest growing industry in the whole world due to increase in the inflow of tourists in the various countries due to increase in business between the nations, increasing spending power of the people, curiosity to visit new countries and learn new culture and improvement in the means of communication. The travel and tourism industry has many dimensions such as Hospitality industry, Transportation services & the events & activities.


♡ Transportation Industry: - The sector includes industries providing transportation of passengers & warehousing & storage of goods & support activities related to transportation.

♡ Tourism Activities – The sector includes the industries in which all the activities related to adventure. 

♡ Lodging Industry :- These sector includes that the people who travel & stay away from home for more than a day need lodging for sleep, food, rest, safety, shelter from rain and other household functions.

♡ Food and Service Industry : - It defines those businesses, institutions and companies are responsible for any meal prepared  outside  the home. This industry includes restaurants, schools, hospitals, cafeterias, catering operations and many other format.

♡ Retail Industry: - Retail Industry refer to those industry in which retails buy product from producers sell to customers. This industry includes Gift shop, craft shop, shopping malls & many other format.


Type of Tourism Industry : - 


1) Pull factor :- In this type, Tourism means the tourist destination makes a attraction in the tourist for itself like pull factor and it force the tourists to go there.


2) Push factor :- In this type, Tourism means the tourist pushes himself towards the tourist destination like a push factor.
